- Messages you send us by email or WhatsApp
Why we use it
Purposes and legal basis.
- To provide your consultation and any prescription or document the doctor issues: performance of a contract, and for health data, the provision of healthcare (GDPR article 9.2.h).
- To keep your clinical record for the period required by Spanish healthcare law: legal obligation.
- To answer your questions by email, telephone or WhatsApp: your request or our legitimate interest.
- To measure how the website is used (Google Analytics): your consent through the cookie banner.
Who receives it
Service providers and recipients.
- Setmore, our booking system (operated through Costa Medical Services, part of the same company).
- REMPe, the private e-prescription platform of the Spanish medical council, when a prescription is issued. The pharmacy you choose sees the prescription.
- Google, for website analytics with your consent, and for web fonts.
- WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to contact us there.
- Public authorities, when the law requires it.
How long
How long we keep your data.
Clinical records are kept for the period required by Spanish healthcare law. Other data is kept while needed for the purpose it was collected for, and then for the periods set by tax and consumer law.
Your rights
Your rights.
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time, for example through the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Write to info@englishdoctornearme.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD).
