A medical conversation in English
Talk it through with a doctor, without a video call.

A focused telephone appointment with a doctor registered in Spain. Discuss your concern in English and leave with practical advice on what to do next.
Medical decisions are made by the clinician after assessment. Not an emergency service.
A clear clinical conversation can be the right starting point.
A telephone consultation gives you time to explain symptoms, ask about a health concern or discuss an existing treatment. It works best when the issue can be described clearly and there is nothing important the doctor needs to see.
The doctor will take a relevant history, ask about medication and explain their assessment in plain English. If the conversation points to a need for video, a test, an examination or urgent help, they will say so clearly.
Speak from a quiet place with a working phone.
Talk through symptoms and relevant history.
Understand the next step after the call.
What happens on the phone
Know what to expect before you answer the call.
Before the call
Book a time and keep your phone available. Write down when the problem began, how it has changed, the medicines you take and the questions you want answered.
During the call
The doctor asks about your symptoms, history and any warning signs. They explain what can reasonably be assessed by telephone and may recommend video or in-person care if visual or physical assessment is needed.
After the call
You receive a clear plan for the next step. If a prescription or medical document is clinically appropriate, the doctor explains how it will be provided; it is never guaranteed in advance.
Good to know
Choose video if something needs to be seen
A phone call cannot show a rash, swelling or other visible change. If the visual detail matters, book a video consultation or ask us which appointment is suitable.
Before you book.
Practical answers about this service.
Is this the same as a video consultation?
Both are medical appointments. Telephone is for a concern that can be discussed without a camera; video lets the doctor see you and any relevant visual detail.
What if the doctor needs to examine me?
They will explain the most appropriate next step. An online appointment does not replace an examination when one is needed.
Will I receive a prescription?
The doctor may issue one only when they decide it is clinically appropriate after assessing you.
