If you are looking for public routine care, find the CAP for your current address. If a concern cannot wait for a routine visit, CatSalut can guide you toward continuing or urgent primary care. An English Doctor appointment is a separate option for a suitable non-urgent conversation; it cannot reserve a public centre or replace a needed examination.

CatSalut says CAPs may offer continuing care and CUAPs handle urgent primary-care needs. Call 061 Salut Respon for guidance on the appropriate centre and check current opening details. For a life-threatening emergency, call 112 rather than waiting for an online slot.
English Doctor offers a separate €39 video or telephone consultation for a suitable non-urgent concern. The clinician may still recommend examination or tests locally. This appointment does not book a CAP or CUAP visit and is not a CatSalut service.
The nearest clinic may not be your assigned CAP
A new arrival in Barcelona sees several clinics on a map and assumes the closest one is the right public centre. CatSalut determines the default CAP from the address, not from a general search result. Start with the dedicated address tool; use the separate centre directory when you need to identify a service type such as a CUAP. A private English Doctor call does not enrol you in the public pathway.
Can I use an online appointment to get assigned a CAP?
No. English Doctor is a separate private service. Enter your Barcelona address in CatSalut’s CAP search, or check La Meva Salut if you already use it. If your address has changed, confirm the assignment with CatSalut or your CAP. For a problem that cannot wait, ask 061 Salut Respon about the appropriate current service instead of waiting for a private booking.
