What Mounjaro is
A prescription-only medicine made by Eli Lilly, used with a reduced-calorie diet and more physical activity.

Is Mounjaro right for you?
For weight management, Mounjaro is approved for adults with a BMI of 30 or more, or 27 or more with a weight-related condition. Find your band, then take the pre-test.

How the Mounjaro dose works
Mounjaro is injected once a week. It starts low and is increased step by step, with at least 4 weeks on each dose. Your doctor decides whether and when to increase it. Tap a step.

Keep unopened pens in the fridge (2–8 °C), never frozen. After first use, the KwikPen keeps for 30 days in the fridge or below 30 °C, then must be discarded.

Mounjaro should not be used during pregnancy. Contraception is recommended, and treatment should be stopped at least 1 month before a planned pregnancy. According to the current official information, Mounjaro could be considered during breastfeeding. Discuss it with the doctor.

The leaflet says these are usually not severe, and that nausea, diarrhoea and vomiting are most common when starting and decrease over time. Drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration, as the leaflet advises.
